Normally installation time is around 2 to 3 hours.
According to the Center for Transportation Research (USA),a typical Class 8 truck idling consume 1 gal/h, you can make calculations based on fuel cost and the working time.
The A/C works with the batteries of the truck (AGM Deep Cycle Battery or Lithium Battery ), whether or not you add an extra battery pack depends on how long you want it to run.
That depend on your battery capacity, normally it runs for 10 hours long every time if your truck with 4pcs AGM deep cycle battery, which under full charge. Charging time batteries is around 5 to 6 hours.
The A/C system can sensor the voltage of your battery, when the systems sensors that your battery is low, it will turn off in automatic, so there is no need to worry about a flat battery in the morning. Just lie down, relax and get a good nights sleep.
